Lesson 3
The Weekly Review Process
The weekly review is where the framework becomes practice. It forces systematic assessment and prevents reactive trading.
A systematic weekly review turns your dashboard into actionable insight.
The Weekly Review (30-60 minutes):
Step 1: Basket Scan (10 min)
For each of the 5 Baskets, assess:
- Bullish, Bearish, or Neutral?
- Changed from last week?
- Any extreme readings?
Step 2: Connection Check (10 min)
For each of the 8 Connections, assess:
- Direction confirmed or diverging?
- Any threshold breaches?
- Lead-lag relationship intact?
Step 3: Regime Assessment (5 min)
- Current regime: Reflation, Air Pocket, Squeeze, or Debasement?
- Confidence level: High, Medium, Low?
- Transition signals present?
Step 4: Portfolio Check (5 min)
- Is portfolio aligned with regime?
- Any positions fighting the regime?
- Rebalancing needed?
Step 5: Week Ahead (10 min)
- Key events (Fed, data releases, earnings)
- Potential catalysts
- Action items
Documentation:
Keep a brief weekly log:
- Date
- Regime assessment
- Key observations
- Actions taken
This creates accountability and pattern recognition over time.
